Ginny Chilton joined St. Andrew's as Minister of Music in August 2022. In this role, she plays the organ, leads the choir, and carefully plans the music for all worship services, bringing her extensive experience and passion for music ministry to the church.

With over twenty years of experience in church music, Ginny has served congregations in Charlottesville, Boston, Norfolk, and Hampton before coming to St. Andrew’s. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Virginia, and both a Master of Sacred Music and a Master of Divinity from Boston University.

Ginny’s love for music and ministry runs deep. Growing up in the Episcopal Church, she developed a strong appreciation for choral and organ music in worship, which laid the foundation for her future career. Ginny finds great joy in how both her formal and informal training have prepared her for a career in music ministry, and she is grateful for the opportunity to combine her love of music with her love of God and people here at St. Andrew's.
