Hilton Churches joint service May 4, 10:00 AM at First United Methodist ChurchSt. Andrew’s will join with the other Hilton area churches for a joint service on Sunday, May 4, at 10:00 AM. The service will be held at First United Methodist Church (corner of Warwick and Main). Nursery care will be provided. There will be no Children’s Chapel or Adult Forum that Sunday. There will only be an 8 AM service at St. Andrew’s on May 4. Please come and join us as we worship together with our sisters and brothers in Christ here in Hilton, and especially as we say thank you and goodbye to Pastor Elizabeth Lutz, who is retiring from First United Methodist in June.
Evening Bible Study: Esther Thursdays, 7:00 PM beginning May 8Beginning on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 PM in the parish library, the people of St. Andrew's are invited to gather for a study of the Old Testament book of Esther. While seemingly comedic on the surface, it explores deeper themes of racial hatred, genocide, and the evil of unconstrained vanity. At the conclusion of this inaugural study (maybe 6-8 weeks), we will assess the interest of continuing a Thursday evening Bible study of a particular Biblical book or topic. Come and let the Light of God revealed in God’s word-written lead you into a deeper life of faith.
